The ANSO Building is now home to a Community Food Garden. The ANSO Gardens are located just east of the building entrance, and offer 18 planter plots for the use of all building occupants. This includes students, staff, and faculty in the Departments of Sociology, Anthropology, as well as staff from the programs of Canadian Literature and BC Studies which also hold offices here. The Gardens are made possible by a grant from the UBC HR Healthy Workplace Initiative Program and a grant from the Sustainability Office Xerox fund.
