Museum of Anthropology, 6393 NW Marine Drive

Abstract
Often the pursuit of science and knowledge takes precedent over other aspects like emotion and respect. It’s important to take some time and share some stories about how Archaeology can impact communities, individuals, and people, and how your future work can be approached in a good way. Empathy is critical when working with belongings and ancestral remains as it then allows for the work to be approached with care and in a respectful way – while still accomplishing and meeting the standards of the Archaeological profession. Come listen to a few voices, perspectives, and experiences from the field of Archaeology.
