About

I am an archaeologist with experience in zooarchaeology, personal adornments, Cultural Resource Management, rock shelter archaeology, and social network and connections. My research interests focus on how past foraging peoples adapted and thrived during periods of rapid climate change through extending and maintaining social connections, developing new technologies, and changing relationships with animals, plants, and the environment. I have pursued these interests with Leakey Foundation, Wenner-Gren Foundation, and SSHRC-funded projects in South Africa and Manitoba, Canada. I am currently based in Victoria and working as a CRM archaeologist with WSP Canada Inc., as well as collaborating on a ZooMS and stable isotope research project with my UBC and University of Manitoba colleagues.
