About:Film-maker Jan Haaken tracks the Indigenous-led fight against the transport of tar sands oil from Alberta Canada into the US and follows the path of oil by rail through the Columbia River Gorge region. As climate activists engage in civil disobedience and other legal tactics along this same corridor of oil transport, a cultural and historical landscope unfolds centered on the vital role of treaty rights and allyship in this fight to save the planet. Haaken will answer questions after the screening.
