Exploring the Practice of Heart-centred Archaeology.

In this talk, Dr. Natasha Lyons will reflect on our motivations for creating a heart-centred approach to archaeology, describe its essential elements, and explore the practices I have developed in the decades I’ve had the privilege to work in, with and for Indigenous communities in Western Canada.

About the Speaker

Natasha Lyons, PhD, has 25 years of professional experience as a community-based archaeologist and enjoys longstanding research partnerships with Katzie, Sts’ailes, and Stó:lō Nations and the Inuvialuit of the Canadian Western Arctic: https://www.ursus-heritage.ca/team/natasha-lyons
