Charles Menzies recently shared a short documentary about First Nation led archaeology. The film had previously been thought lost due to computer failure, but was recently re-discovered and is now available on Vimeo (see link below).
The film was part of a multi-year SSHRCC funded project during which time Menzies and co-applicant Andrew Martindale visited nearly two dozen Gitxaala villages to collect archaeological data. Over the years about 7 UBC students and as many Gitxaala people participated as crew and researchers.
