Congratulations to Dr. Leslie Robertson on her promotion to Full Professor (effective July 1, 2023)!
Dr. Robertson’s promotion is a testament to her stellar scholarship and international reputation for innovative methods, dedicated and rigorous teaching and graduate supervision, and long-term commitment to collaborative research.
Her work is impressive in its breadth and quality, spanning diverse locations — including southern Alberta, northern BC, and the Downtown Eastside in Vancouver – and topics, such as anti-stigmatization efforts in support of urban Indigenous and non-Indigenous drug users and survival sex workers, research for First Nations pursuing Indigenous rights and title and food sovereignty, and deep dives into colonial representations and counter-histories, especially alongside her Kwak’waka’wakw collaborators.
