We are delighted to announce the establishment of the new UBC Centre for Migration Studies that will support innovative migration research, knowledge mobilization, and teaching and learning, as well as opportunities for connecting with community partners and policy realms. The Centre is the first migration research centre of its kind in Western Canada.
The Faculty of Arts, along with the Departments of Anthropology, Geography, Political Science, Sociology and Allard School of Law have all contributed to this initiative, and the Excellence Funds from the Office of the Vice-President of Research and Innovation play a key role in bringing the Centre into being.
