Nicola Levell has won the American Anthropological Association’s Council of Museum Anthropology’s 2021 Michael Ames Prize



Nicola Levell has won the American Anthropological Association’s Council of Museum Anthropology’s 2021 Michael Ames Prize for Innovative Museum Anthropology for her project Shadows, Strings & Other Things (the physical and the digital exhibitions) and her edited volume Bodies of Enchantment: Puppets of Asia, Europe, Africa and the Americas (2021). This multi-modal project also won the Canadian Museum Association’s 2020 award for outstanding exhibition of cultural heritage.
