Ancient Latin America (ARCL 232)

How did some of the largest and most complex empires in the ancient world come about?

Who were their ancestors and how did they live?

Join us as we explore the archaeological roots of two important regions in the Americas as cultures transformed over countless generations during the past twelve thousand years. We will study some of the exciting new discoveries that document the changing lives and practices of the Indigenous peoples of Mexico, Central America, and South America up to the time of the Spanish Conquest in the 1500s.
